This weekend is the full moon. Will Blinker arrive with it?
So far, the jury* is out regarding whether the full moon brings more babies. I've read plenty of anecdotal evidence but not enough compelling science to support this idea (unless you consider the statement "some studies show that something is going on" to be compelling science). Still, we're prepared for him to arrive this weekend. Anecdotally, the birth ward @ Fairview Riverside was full when we tried to visit it during our childbirth class -- during the full moon. When we visited a week later, it was maybe 2/3 full. Coincidence? Stay tuned.
(*And speaking of jury, Bryan has been summoned for jury duty the week after Blinker's actual due date in July. Is "newborn child" a valid excuse to get out of jury duty?)
