Warning: Cute Kid Story

I take back what I wrote previously about Wyatt's behavior. He has a good excuse. We brought him to the doctor earlier this week so she could check out his smoker's cough. She wasn't worried about his prominent hack, but did discover a nasty ear infection! No wonder he was in such a bad mood. After one cycle of azithromycin, he is back to his old self.

His language (and bossiness) is getting much more sophisticated -- earlier this week, he blocked Bryan from going into the bathroom in the morning, because he thought that Dada should feed him instead. He told Bryan, while blocking the door, "No pee-pee. Cereal." He also tells us "Want to get up!" when he's done eating, or sitting in his carseat, or reading a book. And this week we also found -- to our immense surprise -- that he can count to 10 and knows his ABC's. I guess all those multiple, mind-numbing readings of "Count with Dora" or "Goodnight Moon ABC's" have sunk in.

He's also becoming more coordinated, slowly. Check out the video (above) -- the cats are earning their keep by tolerating his affections/abuses.
